Platform UI/UX
During the pre-design UX discovery phase, my team and I conducted secondary and primary research which included pre-interview prep, participant recruitment, user interviews, and data analysis. From this research, we developed user personas, a user journey, user flows, information architecture, and a sitemap.
Using this research, I developed a phased approach which included a step-by-step wizard process for searching for a lawyer that returns relevant results with comparison tools. To start building the user base and mailing list, all results were hidden behind an email wall.
In order to democratise legal services, we made each lawyer offer the same service, simplifying the decision-making process for clients. To achieve this, we needed complete clarity on the service to make it universal for each lawyer.
Finally, we aimed to create an end-to-end service where clients could have their legal needs fulfilled entirely on the LegalDrop platform. However, this was a huge challenge as it required putting a complex process on rails. We worked hard to make the process streamlined and largely automated, while maintaining simplicity and effectiveness for both the lawyer and the client.

Finding and comparing lawyers
Here's how the lawyer search process works on LegalDrop, including the step-by-step wizard, search results, and comparison tools. This gives you an idea of how we made the process more accessible and efficient for users.
Chat
We put the delivery of legal services on rails by opening a dialogue between client and lawyer on the platform and showing complete transparency throughout the process whilst managing client expectations throughout.

Branding
I collaborated closely with an external branding agency who designed the logo. I refined the color palette and created the entire visual identity, including typefaces and image style. The goal was to update an outdated industry and bring it into the modern mainstream.
It was important to strike a balance between being friendly and approachable for clients, while still maintaining a professional look and feel for lawyers. This way, both user groups could feel comfortable using the platform.

Social Media
As part of the LegalDrop project, I designed a social media strategy that aimed to maintain a consistent flow of content to promote the rebranding and highlight the platform's capabilities. One of the primary objectives of the social media campaign was to drive traffic to the blog and services while incorporating customer testimonials to build trust.
Additionally, featuring lawyers who were already on the LegalDrop platform was an effective way to establish and strengthen relationships within our marketplace.
Through this strategy, we were able to achieve a steady increase in engagement and brand awareness, which helped to position LegalDrop as a trustworthy and accessible platform for both lawyers and clients.

I designed LegalDrop's UI/UX and branding with a focus on user experience and a modern approach to the legal industry. Through extensive research and user testing, I created a streamlined platform for legal services.
While the project is currently on hold due to a lack of investment, I am proud of the impact I had on this exciting project and believe it has the potential to revolutionise the legal industry.
